报告题目：LAr  Upgrade  on the ATLAS Detector at the LHC

报告摘要：

After  the Higgs discovery in 2012, Large Hadron Collider (LHC) has started to take  proton-proton collision data at 13 TeV data since 2015, and will take about 120  fb-1 data by the end of 2018, which gives great chances to study the  Higgs property and search for new physics. In order to guarantee good data  quality, there are Phase  I and Phase II upgrades on-going for ATLAS detector. As a sub-detector system,  this seminar will address the LAr upgrades and potential improvement on the  physics measurements.

报告人简介：

Director of Research at CNRS, and ATLAS LAr  calorimeter detector and operation coordinator and member of the LAr  collaboration institute board and executive board. He obtained his PhD in 1991  in the ALEPH experiment at LEP, CERN. He got a permanent position at CPPM in  1992 as “Chargé de Recherches”. He actively took part in the development of  liquid argon endcap calorimeter prototypes as well as in the definition of the  calorimeter for the ATLAS experiment. He  is one of the key person in the  definition, building and installation of the LAr endcap Calorimeter.
